Dash... Reminds me of the boy for the incredibles!

But I like it, but maybe not as a girls name.

How about adding "lyn" to that...Dashlyn or dashlynn. Or dashley? Dashleigh would be cool I think. Ok or maybe I am just nuts :d I love the name ashlyn, very feminine with a hint of an old fashioned name (ashley). Still seems a bit modern though too. :)

I agree with blurose. Dashlynn is cute and you could call her dash for short, but her full name being dash makes me think of someone dashing away.

Re: Girls Name
You name your baby what you like. I named my first grand-daughter "aven". The a is just like it sounds when you sing the alpabit song. Also I love the names nalissa, laina, lashel, and ava. Good luck with your new little one :d

I wouldn't call my daughter dash but it's up to you. We come from different countries so it might be nice for someone of your nationality but it wouldn't for someone of mine.
My 2 daughters are called: lucy-rose and beth
if I was to have another daughter(s) I like the names:
emma,emily/emillie/emilee/emileigh,ashlee/ ashleigh,serun,chloe,mia, kia,tia,louise,leanne,lauren,zara,isabel/i sabelle,jordan,daisy,demi
