I had surgery june.30 for the above (wrist area). Day surgery, local freezing/ansthetic, kept awake. Since surgery I have not been well. Pain has increased, keeping arm elevated like I was told to. Failed to get pain med from hospital due to being a nervous wreck, forgot. Was taking extra strength tylenol, switched to tylenol #1 (small amount of codeine). Nausea, poor appetite- lost 10 pounds in 5 days. Eating jello, dry toast, drinking water, apple juice, flat 7-up. Feel really hot at times, face flushes. Burning pain, spasms, swelling in wrist/hand. Figured there would be some pain after surgery. Temp of 100-101 f this week. Gone now. Still have hot sensations, arm pits sweat. Felt dizzy last night, small bout of diarrhea. I decided to stop taking tylenol #1, thought it was upsetting my stomach. Switched to advil, helps a little. Surgeon will not be back from holidays until july.18. Family doctor also away on vacation. Should I head back to the hospital (er) where I had the surgery or go to a clinic? Is all of this normal? Also under family stress which does not help recovery. Thanks for your help!
