I have been diagnosed with anorexia. I still have periods though. I am on the pill though. Would I continue to have periods on the pill even if I did lose more weight even if I wouldn't if I weren't on the pill? What about osteoporosis?

If u have anorexia, and you continue to lose weight on the pill, you may or may not still have your period. Why? b/c the pill is supplying your body w/ hormones it may not b making naturally b/c your body weight and fat are low. therefore, the pills might make you have a period b/c they are giving you estrogen. but if you stop taking the pills and lose weight you prob. most likely will not have a period almost for sure. also you are putting yourself at a greater risk for osteoporosis b/c estrogen helps your body absorb calcium and w/put it your body is more calcium deprived and at greater risks for fractures. infact, you could b doing light exercise like jogging and break your hip. i would kno b/c i am veryyy skinny and in a similar situation as you and my doctor told me exactly what i am telling you.
