reading these posts makes me wanna cry
because i understand exactly what everyone
is going through. it seems as though these
rumbling stomach noises are taking over my
life. it all started a few weeks ago when
i had a test in one of my class. it was so
unbearable. i was humiliated i felt like
someone needed to just shoot me right then
and there so i won't have to suffer from
this humiliation. the people around me
heard it for sure. i could not concentrate
on the test AT ALL. it went too far when
it kept making noises i couldn't stop
(usually i can try to calm it before it
becomes loud by moving around or
something) but that day i had to ask the
teacher if i could take the exam
elsewhere. i had to be secluded from the
class because the SILENCE WAS KILLING me i
wanted to cry. it usually happens right
when i start to sit down in a chair. i
hate that. it was so bad that if i failed
the test i wouldn't care as long as i
wasn't making any noises. i wish there was
a way to cure all this. i'm like in the
middle of the semester and i don't know if
i can take it anymore. i've missed classes
because of this. i've forced myself to
eat before class every day that i have
class even though i'm not hungry. it's so
sad. the whole class time all i can think
about was my stomach and the noises that
it makes. in my mind i'm like please don't
make any noises i'm begging you

this is such a frustrating problem!! it
only happens to me when im in a quiet
room, taking a test, or working on
something. NEVER at home and i never get
it when im out with my friends or at a
sleepover! it makes me so frustrated that
the other day i broke down crying and
gagged myself to throw up so i could leave
school. its so frustrating because the
first time i got it i was really hungry,
but now i get it all the time and i feel
like it gets worse by the day! i feel like
it runs my life, i fail all my tests
because i rush through them in order to
leave a quiet room, or take frequent trips
to the bathroom, or im just so worried
about my stomach that the page goes blurry
and i can't concentrate. The ABSOLUTE
WORST THING about this problem is its
actually triggered by my nerves, in which
im only nervous because im so afraid my
stomach will start rumbling! PLEASE PLEASE
PLEASE if anyone finds something that
works write back. I am so sick of these
and want to live my life without being
afraid to go to quiet places!
P.S. some other women in my family have
had bad cases of IBS and tried this yogurt
called Activia. I'm going to start eating
that daily tommorow.. so ill stay posted
on how that works.

Okay so I have been taking the Paragone,
Milk Thistle, Probiotics and Metamucil. I
was doing alright, but today the noises
came back. I don't know what to do now,
but I am going to continue to take the
same pills. I think that it may have to do
with drinking some sweet alcoholic
beverages. So from now on I am going to
cut out my sweets. I am going to have to
go on a bland diet with no sugar or
glutons. I thought for sure that my
problem was caused because of parasites,
but now I don't know.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH this is sooo
frusterating. I have to go to my job
training next week and I don't know what
to do. I guess I'll say I have food
poisoning and that if I can sit in the
back by myself. I also went running this
morning, but I didn't run too much, so I
guess I'll try to run again this evening.
I can hear my stomach noises right now as
I type this. I need to start my own
business, so that I can make as many
stomach noises as I want and not worry.

I felt pretty bad after reading these
posts because I used to have the same
problem. I remember searching online for
other people who had the same problem as
me but couldn't find anything. So, here's
the story of my stomach noises, and how I
fixed them:
When I was about 16 I started getting
stomach noises every day between 9:30 and
10:00 during school. It was really
embarrassing during tests, and I couldn't
concentrate at all on the problems because
I was so worried about my stomach making
another noise. It got to the point where
I didn't want to go to school because I
knew this was going to happen. I went to
the doctor and got tested for hypoglycemia
and other things that the noises might be
related to, but I was perfectly healthy.
One doctor suggested that I take an
anti-anxiety medicine (Lexapro). This
actually did help me out a lot, but I
never felt like I was an anxious
person...the only thing I ever felt
anxious about was my stomach noises. So I
stopped taking the medicine after a few
months, but my stomach noises didn't
really come back. I had a new mindset
that it's okay if my stomach gurgles, no
one is going to care. Basically I just
tried not to think about it.
Although the anti-anxiety medicine did
help a lot, I did a few other things that
I think have also made my tummy happier.
I started taking fiber supplements every
day. I actually think the fiber has
helped me the most, SO DO IT! Also,
snacking throughout the day helped too.
I don't know if I can say I'm a true
success story- my stomach gurgles every
now and then (probably one embarrassing
gurgle every two or three weeks) but I
just don't care about it anymore.
Hope this helps!

Thank you for your post Alum,
I would have never thought about taking
Lexapro, but I would rather stick to
natural methods. You are right about take
fiber pills, I think they are a BIG help.
Hello everyone,
sorry for not posting in a little
while, but my account was suspended for
posting links on here. So no more posting
links. So I have been taking Metamucil,
Flax Seed Oil, Probiotics, Caprylic Acid
and some of the liquid black wood that I
had left from the paragone package. I have
been feeling better, but on some days I
wake up with morning noises, which never
really happened a while back. I feel much
better than I did 2 month's ago after
getting some shots. I have been on a
strict diet, just eating like meat/seafood
and veggies. I have not eaten any sugar in
the last week and a half and at first I
felt horrible, now I feel better. I was
reading online how this process takes some
time and i hope this is the problem to my
stomach noises.
I do think that mental anxiety plays a
role, but I wouldn't say it's the cause to
our stomach noises. When I was taking
exams in August, I would have to sit for
like 2 hours and I got worried, but I did
not make one noise. I was soo proud back
then, but then I got these shots and they
ruined my life. I gota do some more
research about Candida and how a Teneanus
and hepatitus shot could get you sick. I
do remember the nurse saying if you are
alergic to yeast, do not take this shot,
so I'm guessing thats where the problem
arose. Like a day later after I got the
shots my stomach was GROWLING like it has
never growled before. I'm hoping those
shots wear off and I'm able to restore my
health and get rid of these stomach
noises.
I have to say DRINK PLENTY OF WATER. I
have been having some bentonite, since
it's good for cleansing, but I haven't
been taking it too often, but I guess I
should. I am going to try this for like
the next month or two and I hope things
get better and if they do, then I can go
back to school YAY.
I think that one should cut out sugar,
wheat, flour, yeast, dairy from their
diets and also no alcohol. After I have
breakfast, which is scrambled eggs with
garlic, onions and bell peppers I am good
until lunch time. I make sure to take all
my pills like a hour before eating
breakfast or lunch and this really helps.
Also forcing yourself to burp seems to
help, but don't do it excessively. On my
drive to work I moved around and the
movement in my car moves me around a bit
and I don't know why, but this helps. I
remember when I was in this government
training, I would ride my bike to the
breakfast hall and I would not get any
stomach noises at all. I have to say in 4
weeks that I was there, I only made like 3
minor stomach noises. I think it really
has to do with what we eat and how we eat
and allergies to certain foods. I also
think excercise is important, but I have
been kinda lagging in that area.
Well the best of luck to everyone and
keep trying new things and do more
research. The more we look into it and
find different methods the more solutions
we can come up with to help each other. I
mean instead of saying I think I may try
to do this or you guys try it and let me
know how it goes, take a proactive
approach and try it. I mean people can
only take so many things and I think that
if people start trying new things we can
try to come up with a solution quicker.
I'm going to continue to stay on this
diet for as long as I can and take as many
pills as I can. I will probably place a
large order on an online herbal store,
since they are probably cheaper than
buying them in a regular store and if you
spend over $100, which I know I will, they
give you free shipping.
The quicker we find solutions to these
problems, the quicker we can live our
normal lives. Some of us like myself have
to alter our careers, because of these
stomach noises and some people may drop
out of school because of these noises. I
know this problem has affected me sooo
much and I am SICK of it and I want a
solution and I will do what I can to find
one. Best of luck to everyone.

Losing to a Bad Stomach Problem Posted: 11-14-07 03:57am
OK....i am trying to finish school but my

myself feel better, i go to the bathroom
thinking its gas, i try to burp it out and
nothing. i went to a doctor about 2 years
ago and she said to not drink soda(crap),
i went to another doctor and she said to
take symethicone(didnt help much), and i
am going to a doctor tommorrow and she
says its might be a thyroid problem. i
will keep everyone posted but i am so
happy to see that i am not alone. this
semester hasnt been bad but i get nervous.
and i hate the fact that people say 'just
embrace your stomanch.' if these people
had my problem they woudl get embarressed
too. its not the same as when your hungry.
that i can handle but not this. if anyone
can suggest something i would awfully
appreciate it..................THANKS AND
GOOD LUCK TO ALL WITH THIS PROBLEM. YOU

Hello Everyone,
I went to the Vitamin Shoppe and I
bought a whole bunch of new things. I was
reading online about different methods to
treat Candida. Last night I took some
garlic pills and some Zinc pills, this
morning my stomach made some loud noises,
that it hadn't made in weeks. I think/hope
this is a good sign, because the cadida
might be getting attacked. I've been on
this Candida diet for like 2 weeks and I
feel MUCH better. Also eating oatmeal in
water is very helpful. I know it tastes
BLAND and it smells like carboard, but
it's good for you. I have been taking so
many pills to a target this problem and I
read its good not to take everything at
once. Try to take like 2 pills everyday
for a week then stop and then start
another 2 pills for a week and then stop
and so on. I was reading that this helps
trick the Candida and it helps in not
allowing the candida to become immune to
all the pills. I wish I could get a colon
transplant, but I guess that would be too
much, so now I'll just resort to black
walnut, milk thistle, probiotics, garlic
pills, l-glutimine, bentonite, grapefruit
seed extract and digestive enzymes. There
are two other types, but I can't recall
the names right now. Alright well I hope
everyone will try this diet and take these
pills and see if they work for you. This
diet should be conducted for like 3 months
from what I was reading.
I remember one person saying that they
use to get chest pains after taking the
probiotics and I use to get these chest
pains too. I just thought that the good
bacteria was killing the bad bacteria. Now
that I have been taking these pills for 2
weeks I don't have any more pains in my
chest. I would suggest you talk to a
doctor, but I didn't. I really think that
seeing a doctor can be a waste of time and
most just want to charge the insurance
company. I told myself that I would try
this diet for 3 months and if I don't get
rid of these noises, then I would go and
see another doctor.
Well good luck everyone, Eric

This problem just started for me recently
and I thought I was the only one! It
actually makes me feel sooo much better
that I am not alone. It is such an
embarrassing problem especially during
tests. I am in high school and I am fine
until after lunch. I only have one class
after lunch and whenever we have a
test/quiz it is COMPLETELY silent, which
makes me worry even more about my stomach
being loud. The other thing, and I don't
know if this is too personal
but I don't know if my case is different
than the rest of you, but mine seems like
it has to do with gas (?) I will be fine
until I sit down right after eating and it
get dead silent and suddenly I am holding
in the gas which then backfires on me and
seems to go back into my body and make
this ridiculously loud noise! I have had
people turn around and laugh/give me
strange looks! It is such a terrible
feeling! I don't know what to do!
I read another forum about this having to
do with test-related stress, but I don't
know. Because I am fine for the beginning
of the day, when I have ridiculously hard
classes. But after eating lunch, my class
is so hard to get through! It's not even a
hard class!
HELP!

Health,
What do you eat for lunch? like 30 Min.
before eating lunch take like 2 Metamucil
pills and then eat your lunch and then
take like 2 more Metamucil pills. When you
have your lunch take the pills with water
and don't drink anything while you eat,
just before and after. After you finish
your lunch and take your last two pills,
go the bathroom and try to do #2, force
yourself if you have to. Take some
Metamucil pills with you to class and
plenty of water. If you feel anything odd,
then pop a pill with some water. Let us
know if this works for you?
If this isn't the solution, then try some
Paragone and some other things. But you
better come back in here and let us know
how if this works for you. Everyone is
here for the same reason and if we all
wanted to be greedy, we would not post on
here and no one would know anything.
Remember that it is important to come back
in here and post what your doing and if it
is working or not.

eric,
i'll try that as soon as i can get some of
those pills, but i just wanted to make
sure first that I have the same symptoms.
Today I ate a smaller breakfast, and got
really hungry by the middle of the day
before lunch, so this time it was BEFORE i
ate that my stomach was making really loud
noises and i had bad gas and it was during
a test (ugh). So now i'm wondering if it
has to do with stomach acid? Maybe our
problems are that our acid levels are
easily unbalanced?

I Had It Too But Am Out of It (almost) Posted: 11-25-07 19:55pm
Hi, I had the exact same troubling stomach
noises which were menacing my social and
academic life (being a student I had to
sit through more than a few silent
classrooms and examination halls). I found
out in Gyns that I was getting recurrent
yeast infections. I had other concrete
reasons to believe that I had excessive
candida overgrowth. I took all the online
tests and did the saliva test etc and
everything just confirmed my belief. I
tried antifungals etc but they are not
lasting (not to mention the side effects
and cost..). I have started taking
threelac. Its been just 2 weeks into it
but I feel such immense difference that I
thought I'd share it with all. I hope all
atleast try to check if its yeast with you
too and I sincerely hope all get well.. I
know exactly how unbelievably debilitating
this is, and the worst part is most people
just find it hillarious when you try to
describe the problem to them.
Good Luck !

Health,
That has happened to me a couple of
times, try drinking water with Metamucil,
this should calm your stomach down. Make
sure to bring plenty of water with you in
class and drink some before you think your
stomach may make a noise. I think I'm
going to try to take the salivia test and
see if I have Candida. I'm more than sure
that's what it has to be, because when I
got a Tetanus shot and a Hepatitus shot,
everything went down hill. I have been
eating healthy and I felt GREAT. The last
3 days have not been so well, thanks to
Thanksgiving, so now I have to go back to
my diet. I noticied after not eating sugar
and then eating pumpkin pie and other
sweets that my stomach REALLY started to
act up. I really think my problem has to
do with a yeast infection. If it's not
that then maybe Acid Reflex, but I'm more
than sure it's Candida.
I have to agree with everyone and I
support going Natural. That is the best
way to go. Try talking to your doctor and
see if you can take natural remedies,
instead of antibiotics. I use to hate
taking natural remedies and I use to take
a lot of pills and I think that is why my
stomach is also messed up. Well I'm going
to place a large order on Amazon for some
more pills, since they are cheaper on
there than stores I have been to. I'm also
going to try that OxyPowder, since I've
been reading such great reviews and take
some more Paragone right after that and a
lot more supplements. I'll try doing this
during the Holidays, so I can clean my
colon at the comfort of my home. I'll keep
you guys posted on any new updates. I hope
everyone is doing better. I was also
reading about doing sit ups and like using
your palms and rubbing them on your
stomach (abs) like a washboard. I heard
that this is good to excercise the
muscles, to get the stomach muscles
stronger for digestion.
Alright best of luck to everyone

i too have had stomach noises for a couple
of months and have just been dignosed with
H Pylori and bacteria infection, not sure
whether this is related but one of the
symtoms is too much acid in the stomach a
couple of people have suggested too much
acid might be a cause. Anyway i am on
antibiotics and am hoping this stop the
embarrising noises.
I also cut out milk which has helped.
Good luck to you all

Am Out of It Posted: 12-12-07 21:09pm
Hi, I took the litmus test for the noises,
namely my periods. It used to be a 15 day
havoc of PMS, MS and post-MS accompanied
by terrible uncontrollable noises with
excessive bloating... I also used to
always get vaginal yeast infections by the
end of it. I used to cut classes and
hiberate for half a month. I've just had
them and I had no noises. It seems like a
miracle. I am just taking threelac thrice
a day. its a natural probiotic and
needless to say, it has transformed my
life. To those who havent read my previous
posts, I had concrete reasons for
believing in having candida and I tried
everything else (probiotics, metamucil,
heavy doses of antifungals, homeopathy,
yoga, meditation to name a few) and all
were ineffective. I wouldnt say anything
against yoga though, cause it gave me much
of the peace of mind required to deal with
this horrible menace.
I really hope this helps...
(also, for those who have tried/will try
threelac, I had exacerbated symptoms (i.e
noises) for the first one week, though
they abated promptly after that...)

Loud But Normal Bowel Sounds Posted: 12-19-07 21:11pm
I have the SAME Sxs described by each of
you. The precipitating factor appears to
be stress or just perceived stress.
Stress causes the stomach noises which
cause more stress - it's immediate too.
So is the OFF switch. If you really
concentrate and remove the stress from
your mind - it settles down as fast as it
starts. It is food ingestion independant.
Pushing HARD into the point of the noise
(and it moves-more on this below) stops
the noise immediately which also lowers
the stress,......
I believe the noises occur in different
locations for the following reason: when
stress starts for whatever reason (even
GOOD stress) - where ever the biggest
bolus of food is in your intestine at that
time is where the excessive gas production
and excessive peristalisis happens -
kicking off loud sounds. Try this and
reply back.
