Mild Mono?? When to Regain Activity??

Must Read
Is mononucleosis bacterial or viral? Does everyone get mono at some time? How does mono spread? Basic facts and definitions about "the kissing disease". ...
Do you know what causes mono? Although children are more at risk than adults, what can you do to avoid getting sick from mono? Review risk factors here....
The symptoms of mono may not manifest for everyone who contracts the Epstein-Barr virus. But when are symptoms serious? And when should you seek medical help?...
My 16-year old daughter was diagnosed with mono. She had no symptoms other than a severe headache and a fever for a few hours. The doctor knew from blood tests that she had a viral infection, so I asked about the possibility of mono. The mono test was positive. Her glands, including spleen were never enlarged. After a week, she has slept as much as she says she can. She is to leave on monday for an intensive dance experience. I am still trying to decide if she should go. The doctor saw her on thursday afternoon and said as long as she rested when tired, she should be okay. I'm looking for info on anyone who has mild mono and what to expect. Is there even such a thing as a mild case?

Perhaps this mild case is a recurrence of preexisting ebv, it's so common --95% population expousre...She'd likely already have been exposed
antigen tests for capsule versus nuclear components (late infection phase)

overall if she looks healthy that's the best sign, let her dance but remind her that if she's tired she risks relapsing perhaps so take it easy, and that there's a lot worse viruses "out there"
