Hey Please Read : Is This Normal Helppppp!!! Posted: 07-01-05 14:27pm
------------------------------------------
------------------------------
i have had these symptoms for a while.
Here is my story. 4 years ago I saw this
tv show and then all the sudden I could
not stop thimking about that tv show is
was like the idea of it was stuck in my
head. Then I was taking to my friend one
day and she told me a story about somone
having voices in thier head saying to kill
people and then I would start having the
thought of killing people or getting
scared of doing it, then I would get
paranoid and scared that my repetitive
thoughts would come true. So, basically
if I encountered a certain thing I would
question if I would thing about it over
and over again. I am always scared that
something I do or face will get stuck in
my head then I get all depressed and worry
"am I going to keep thinking about it" or
am I going to go crazy.
Please anyone just give me some feed back
thank you

See a doctor about it, probably isnt
serious and just caused by stress

This a symptom of recurrences. This means
that you are in need to de-stressing.
Take time and read, or go out and do
nothing but relax, this may help. Drink
lots of herbal teas, and water. If this
does not help, see a doctor you have
something wrong with your nervous system.
Oh, and remember to always pray!

Sounds like you're experiencing the
classic "obsessive compulsive disorder",
as they call it. Alot of people get
caught up in thinking patterns like that
(i know). I'm not a doctor, but I think
it has something to do with feeling out of
control in your life. My non-doctoral
advice is:
1. Try to figure out what bigger issues
are unhinging you.
2. Don't worry about it too much.
They're just thoughts and they can't hurt
you. You're not actually going to kill
anyone, you're just going to keep freaking
out *thinking* about it if you let
yourself. It's the fear that's driving
things. The more you feed it, the more
you'll worry. Don't make too big a deal
out of it.
3. Get support. It's good to unburden
yourself, not just about the fact that
you're having disturbing thoughts but
about your life in general. Whatever
larger things are stressing you. Get
counseling if you feel you need it (and
make sure you get a good shrink because
some of them are for crap).
