I had a partial hystorectomy 2 years ago,
well reading the forums I think I had a
partial, I still have my ovaries,
everything else was taken out..My question
is about 2 1/2 weeks ago, I had this
severe pain in my left side, doubled me
over, for a week after that it was tender,
the tenderness was bearable but it hasn't
completely gone away. I went to the
doctor that same week, I let a few days go
by thinking it may be a kidney
infection..The doctor set me up for a cat
scan and an ultrsound, the results came
back from the cat scan that I have cysts
on my left overy, the ultrasound came back
and said that my left overy is enlarged.
No one has told me anything but what my
results were, no explaination of
anything..I have a friend that has
problems with cysts, she said her doctor
explained to her that when the cysts burst
it attaches itself to things around it,
and it drains out..Well i'm closed off, it
can't drain out, so where does it go?
Wouldn't the infection just stay swimming
around? :shock: also with the enlarged
overay, I looked up just that and all that
came back was oavarian cancer sites...My
doctor has scheduled another ultrasound in
6 weeks....Why do I have to wait? Why
won't my doctor or the nurses explain
anything to me? Sorry this was so long,
but I can never make a long story
short..;)

Do you still have your cervix?
If you do then you had a partial if not
then you had a complete.
Ovaries are not part of the uterus and are
often not removed during a hyst.
You really need to go back to your doctor
and ask what is the outcome of your
results.
Will these cysts dissolve alone or will
you require treatment.
Get the answers you deserve.

I don't think I have my cervix, i've
gotten results back and the ultrasound
said I have cysts, the cat scan said my
lefy overy is enlarged, my white blood
count is high and I have blood in my
urine...They didn't explain anything to
me, just told me my results..I have to go
in again for another ultrasound in 6
weeks..I assume I will have an appointment
set up to talk to her about those
relults..Although they just called to tell
me about the last 2 results..I looked up
on the net "enlarged overy", it took me to
different cancer sites, if there is
nothing to be worried about great..But
shouldn't they at least bring me in and
discuss things with me, maybe to set my
mind at ease concidering it is my body and
my future?..
