Hi,
this is common when people are going to the dentist.
Give it awhile and it should pass.............
Just think about what your going to the dentist for, and know its not really that bad.....Like if your going just for cleaning,,,, just keep in mind its not that bad,,, its for my well being....
It will be over, and life will move on..............

Hope it helps...............

Also breathing in deep breaths, and letting them out slowly helps..................................... .........

I used to be this way I was notorious for biting :-)

i had kids care dental up until age 18, went to a dentist that day he said I had 18 cavities!!!!!!!! I left crying and they called every other day saying to make an appointment......His teeth and breath were nasty, the receptionest was the hygenist as well and the furniture was like mod 70's homicide movie stuff.....

That scared me I would have had braces earliar in life but:

1) crap silver filling done badly

2) chipped front tooth had porcelain and it stained then cracked then broke out

i researched for months locally and found a place I love. The first visit was consultation and when I found out yes my smile was too screwed up to use invisalign and I needed metal braces I cried at 19 lol.....Finally say screw it I want a perfect smile

had 2 minor fillings to be done (remember thos 18???????) yea. I cried from nerves I have had a fear of needles since I was 10 and a nurse yelled at me and made me watch her and then at 18 for a blood test the lady yelled at me again...Be nice you witches!

I was gased that time but $50 per half hour gets costly ;-) I have no dental insurance as 1) my dentist only takes ppo and 2) ppo would be too much at my job lol

however after the dr told me if I felt pain I could bite him we made friends. I cried once more when I got braces on because the hot hot partner of my dr was looking at me and I was like go away lol

now I love seeing them, sometimes have minor anxiety I didn't cry for wisdom but had to hold a stuffed tooth to keep my nerves calm and 3 weeks ago I got 10 needles in my mouth and only said ouch to 3 :-) i'm now their favorite patient and braces were off 2 months early, have retainers, I see them tommorow to get my perma crown, bonding on the teeth that got the porcelain redone to match my new whitening and my lock for my teeth :-)

i kinda find it relaxing when i'm there lol

Dentist Worries
Don't worry about it. Either it hurts or it doesn't. It all depends on the nerves in your mouth, crying or doing anything like that won't make it any better. Needles don't hurt. It feels, to me at least, as if the dentist is just pushing the roof of your mouth or wherever he is injecting. Same with getting teeth pulled. It actually felt like he was pushing rather than pulling. Oh yeah they bleed a bit though. I had to bite a gauze for an hour before I could eat.

I get this way too because dentists are horrible. I went 2 weeks ago and got my teeth cleaned and one filling and my teeth still hurt really bad. The one where I got my filling I cant even bite down on it. The dentist are stupid and its one of the easiest things to screw up on (someones teeth) that is why I always get nervous of going. I have good teeth I dont want them medical question it up.
