2 months ago I had the same thing happened to me. I'm 20 and this was the very first time that had ever happened. I yawned, then all the sudden I counldn't close my mouth. Scary situation for me since I had never experienced this.

It happened once again last month for a few seconds and I popped my jaw back in place myself...Eww. Since then, I have been too afraid to open my mouth all the way. So bad that when I eat burgers or, anything relatively wide, I sqush and mush it down to fit my mouth without much movement. Someone told me I may have tmj, but I don't even know what that is. When it dislocated my jaw, it wasn't painful at all.

At the moment, I don't have insurance, so I can't go to the doctor like I should. Especially since i'm still trying to pay off my $1000 hospital bill for them relocating my jaw.
