Q: Children's Nutrition

I'm interested in childhood nutrition. I'm a teacher & i'm horrified by all the junk food that kids are eating these days. Does anyone know of a good education program (college or grad school or just community-based) about nutrition for kids? I live in northern california but I could also do distance learning.
Let me know.
Thanks!

I took a human nutrition class at the university of phoenix online. Nutrition 220

it is a sophomore class but it still may get you some in-service points for your next teacher certification process. (if they do that in california)
