Glucophage And Infertility Posted: 06-25-05 19:41pm
I recently went to my gyn and he told me I
had low progesterone. He put me on
glucophage and two months from now clomid
will be added. I was wondering if
glucophage is widely used for infertility
since it is a diabetes med. I have never
heard of it being used and just wondered
how much it will help me because it is
making me ill ,i.E. Diarrhea and gas. I
feel like stopping it but if it is
effective I will deal with the symptoms.
Please help! :?

They should have given you an information
sheet of side effects and info. But you
should talk to the dr anyway.

Glucophage side effects Posted: 05-18-08 15:36pm
I recently been diagnosed with poly cystic
ovarian syndrome and was prescribed the
same medicines as you. My gyn started me
out on a low dose of the glucophage
working up to a full dose, due to the side
effects. I've been taking prenatal
vitamins along with the medication and
that seems to help. The iron has the
oposite effect as the glucophage so I
think it balances itself out. That might
help. Good luck! I hope things work out
for you.
