My daughter is 12, and has just suffered her first seizure two weeks ago. Since then she has had 5 more. How or what do people do to "watch" / monitor people at night that suffer from this type of condition

night seizures
It might be smart to sleep in the same room as her at night just in case.

Although I've heard that night seizures aren't as common as daytime seizures. Of course, it varies depending on the type of seizure, and also the person. Nevertheless, if you're a heavy sleeper, make sure you're close to her at night.

That's what I'd do.

Night Seizures
Hi I would suggest that you look into a monitor system
too. Its what lots of us use on the efa site.

Wow she has alot of them just in 2 weeks does she take medication if so you need that doctor to fix it until they control her seizures that is what my doctor did he was able to control mine really quick

i would sleep with her because you dont know what is going on and maybe you can help her out if she does have one at night

Epilepsy At Night
Hi everyone. I was diagnosed with epilepsy when I was 11, and have only had my seizures at night. What my parents did was they gave me a bell for my bedside. Because I had a aura I could ring the bell, which whould wake them up and then they could come and check on me. They did this because at 12 years old who wants their parents sleeping in their room at night. Now i'm 25 and understand that that's what you might want, but it might be a good idea to discuss sleeping in the same room with your child. :d
