I have been on the depo shot for six months now (once every 3 months). I am still having problems with bleeding too early, or the fact that I am bleeding, period. I have been told by my doctor that I should not be having a period at all after having the shot, but a month after the shot, i'll start bleeding and continue bleeding for about a month, and have to start taking supplemental hormone pills to stop it. As this is a terrible nuissance, I am concerned about whether or not you can get pregnant toward the end of the three month cycle. I believe the bleeding is caused from a shortage of the hormones in your body, so I am a little baffled by this. Can anyone give me an accurate response?
