Facial Laser Surgery

Has anyone had laser surgery on their face? I am 48 with a few lines and wrinkles and my doctor whom I trust said laser would be the most effective right now,not a face lift as my skin isn't sagging. I am excited but nervous and need to know if anyone has had the experience of laser surgery on their face.
