Q: Paxil Sexual Side Effects

Hi i'm new here and just started taking paxil 20mg a couple weeks ago..I've noticed that I can't come to orgasm anymore, I can masturbate all night long and don't even feel an urge...It started when I began taking paxil...I'm pretty sure paxil is the culprit, my concern is, if I stop taking paxil will my sexual functions come back?

Paxil
Google "paxil" and read about the side effects.

I took paxil for a while and I had the same problem... Well as far as women go. That is one of the major drawbacks to antideppressants... "sexual side effects". Emotionaly you feel fine, you could just care less about sex.

Talk to your Dr. About it and maybe they can try something else like effexor or something with less chance of diminishing your libido

Well I was finally able to orgasm, it just took some effort..It does burn a little bit after I ejaculate but that quickly fades...It hasn't dimished my need for sex, so if I stay on it, will I be ok u think?

Paxil Issues
I was perscribed Paxil and had the same side effect. My doctor perscribed 75mg of wellbutrin, otherwise know as Bupropion, to help with the libido and inability to ejaculate. It has worked for me thus far.

my doc did the same, but it didn't work for me. I dropped all the antis and just started mega dosing fish oil, he has worked wonders for me.
