Rolling Eyes hello, I was wondering about getting breast implants. How safe are they. Has anyone had them done? Will they feel really hard? I really want to get mine done but I am scared of complications. Any suggestions or advice???

Hello
Smile I have been self consuious about my boobs and wanting to get my breast done for a long time. I have done a lot of research, went to consultations, and I still haven't got them done yet. The reason why I haven't its because of time and money, but if I had both I would go in a heart beat. I know that if your going to make a decision like that make sure you go to the right plastic surgoen no matter how much they cost, because its something you have to deal with for the rest of your life, not to scare you or anything, but it's true!!. Go to a lot of consultations and visits. There are plenty of websites who have images of before and after, doctors and decisions on where the best incision for the breast implant to be inserted they perform on your body. The size that you want would have to blend in with your contour and your shape of your body, if you get them too big, they would look fake. I know friends went and got them done by doctors who did a really bad job on them, and now they have to go and get them done over and over until they are satisfied. What a waste of time and money ya know!. I know friends who have them for 10 years. They have children after they got them done, and they still look beautiful and real. That's the most important thing about undergoing plastic surgery. Of cause they are going to hurt, but they have pain killers for that. Also, make sure you have someone to take care of you after your surgory, cause you will not be doing anything for a couple of days. Good luck!!!

I Had It Done
I got breast implants in 2002.

I had a child at a young age (17) and breast feed him until he was 8 months. Before I had him I was a 32dd. After I breast feed him I went down to a 32b. I had so much extra skin. I felt so ugly! That's when I had them done. I feel so much better about myself. It's not what other people think about you, it's how you feel about yourself.

Yes, it hurt so much. But it was worth it.

Open to questions.

Go For It
:d heya,
i think if you want to get it done then go for it. My whole life I had always been picked on because of my small boobs, not only that when your 18 and you see a 12 year old wearing the same top as you only she looks better in it its quite depressing.
Of course they hurt at first, but you can only expect so much from having a foreign object in your body and it's stretching the space you already have there.
I got mine done about 6mnths after my 18th birthday and that was almost 2 years ago, I got them done for me and it has made me 100's of times happier and more confident, in fact my boyfriends sister just got her's done because she was un-happy and was excited to find that I had felt just how she is feeling now.
Anyway save up your money because you'll never regret it

I recently went to a plastic surgeon with a great reputation, I was refured to him by my lifelong doctor. The surgeon told me about the risks in all honesty. I actually was suprised at the percentage that atcually have problems as it's extremely low. They are very good at doing implants these days and the problems are so small, also if you do have a problem you will know about it. That was one thing I was worried about...Having a problem and not knowing about it but they told me there would be pressure or pain if there was a problem. Also it depends on the type of implants you get. I'm getting the brand new type of sylicon implants that are actually in the shape of a breast rather then just round. I would suggest though to not get saline based implants because if they get a tiny leak (it's comman but not a problem) they tend to get a small air bubble in them and when you move around it has a watery sound.
Anyhoo, good luck Smile
