I've been on zoloft for a few years with no problems. Recently i've started drinking pretty heavily with no abnormal side effects. But will I get any permanent damage from drinking on zoloft? I'm kinda worried. Please help.

See a Dr.
The Dr. Who prescibed zoloft can help you answer this question because side effects differ from person to person.

Just a bit of friendly advice, drinking too much can lead to many health problems with or without zoloft. Is there a reason for your drinking?

Well take care and hope you get an answer. :)

You should never drink and take zoloft. It can cause black-outs. Talk to your doctor that prescribed it to be safe.

The zoloft sudies suggest that there are no serious effects when taking alcohol and zoloft. However they do not reccomend it's use at the same time. Someone that feels a need to drink and take zoloft to help them through some coping is hard to dissuade from drinking. With anxiety disorder I feel the anxiety only increases in those people because the alcohol connection with zoloft is apparently unknown.

Thanks for the reply. That is a very good zoloft site. But you can find most but not all information on zoloft at that site and they fail to link up complementary sources and commentary on zoloft. So I think they have a monetary motive and are not strictly trying to get you the best information possible. They are missing information on details of side effects and withdrawal symptoms.
