I have polycystic ovarian disease and my gynocologist put me on glucofage and told me to keep track of ovulation on a ovulation chart with a basal thermometer. I have took pregnancy tests for months saying negative. I took one a few days ago and it said negative, but I am feeling nausea and sore tender nipples for weeks and weeks, and I know glucofage can make you nautious, but sore nipples too? And ive been having sharp pains in my ovaries, so can anybody tell me if im just about to start my period or could I be in the very early stages of pregnant? And I just started taking glucofage a few days ag and been having pregnancy symptoms for weeks and weeks but no positive answer on preg test.

I don't know if this would be the same as your situation. But in my case, I had been having a lot of problems with migraines and stuff so the doctor put me on two types of medication. So I started taking them. Well when I went to go do a mri, I didn't want to have it done because I hadn't started my period and I didn't know if I was pregnant or not. So they gave me a blood test that was negative. Well, long story short a week or two later I still hadn't started and I was getting concerned, so I took a hpt. 2 of them and both of them came out positive. Doctor didn't believe I was pregnant but when I looked up medication online I discovered it caused false positives for blood tests. So, maybe that is the case with you, maybe your medication makes it come back negative or maybe you don't produce enough hcg for it to show up on a hpt. Are you past your regular period time? If so, I would have the doc do a blood test just to be on the safe side. Hope this helps! Take care and good luck.
