Colposcopy
In regard to the use of tampons, I do believe it's 3-4 weeks before you can start wearing tampons. However, from my own experience, I quit using tampons after my first colposcopy and biopsy ! If you have any other related questions on this topic you can just reply to this. I had my colposcopy done in april along with a biopsy. I then had a cold cone biopsy done in june.....I'm recently scheduled for another biopsy !!!

Depends
You know, I think it depends on the doctor in regards to how long you have to wait. My doctor was going to put a tampon in right after she did the biopsy to catch the bleeding from the incisions (but I didnt want anything else up there anymore so I opted for the pad).

That stuff coming out is the medicine(dont remember what it's called) after the took the sample of the cells. It's normal and disgusting. I was given a pad to put on afterwards and she warned me about it

Started period 1 week after colposcopy
I had a colposcopy about a week ago, and they say to wait two weeks to have sex, but I only waited one week, there was no pain involved at all, but the only thing that is wierd is an hour after having sex i started my period, which is the normal time of the month but its really really heavy, could there be something wrong? or am I worrying to much?

Im not using tampons either cause they said wait, but i didnt wait on having sex...

Extremely eHealthy
It also depends what they did to you in the colposcopy. I have had a couple of colposcopies but in neither of them they did a biopsy. So if there was no biopsy and therefore nothing needs to heal then you can use tampons right away.
