Could someone help me please?
I have a cold. Not a bad one though. Its been about 3 days now. I have just been drinking hot tea. Havent taken any medicine. Now suddenly I have this pain in my ear since the past one hour. Its just in my right ear. When I try to pull my ear lobe, it doesnt hurt more. So, I think its not an ear infection. Is this kind of ear pain/ache common during common-cold?

I hope this is nothing too serious.

Thanks for your help, in advance.

Hey, I had this too about 2 weeks ago. I actually thought I was getting a cold because I developed the sore throat and it definitely felt like post nasal drip. I had the ear ache, though, and my glands behind my jaw weren't enlarged but also felt sore. But when the "cold" wasn't developing into anything for a week, I went to my doctor's and he said I had a blockage between my right nostral and my right ear. It wasn't an infection yet, but it may have developed into one.
He gave me antibiotics even though he said it could've been bacterial (which the antibiotics would help) or viral (in which they wouldn't) but I felt results immediatly.
'course I did develope a cold a week later since my family was all sick. Go figure, eh?
Hope this helped. Feel better!
