I had a c-section on 9/29/03 and I have had problems ever since. After I was released after 4 days in the hospital I began swelling and running fever so the next day ( sat. ) I was re-admitted via emergency room and was told I had an infection in my uterus( which is now gone ) and I also had a hematoma. My problem is my stomach is very sore still and I have throbing internally that has not gone away. The last mri showed everything fine except the hematoma that is over 7.5 cm with ap diameter of 3 cm located in the anterior abdmonianal wall. Does anyone know if this is causing the pain or is it do to scare tissue which I am being told ? Any information will be helpful. Thanks

Ive had 2 c-sections, and yes you will feel pain for several weeks after, but if I remember right I was healed within atleast a month and a half or so.Well with my first one anyway, my second one I had gotten pregnant when my first was only 5 months old and had my second c-section just 14 months after my first, which took a little bit longer to heal. Even now 2 1/2 years later I still get sharp pains right around the scar area, and is still very sensitive. I would suggest give it a little more time but if the pains dont stop soon, then I would go see the Dr.
