I feel that I cant get preg b cuz of the abortion I had when I was 14 but I had no problems after the abortion .. Im scared

There just is no data showing that abortions cause any decrease in fertility. If something goes wrong, then yes it is a possibility. But infertility from pregnancy, f.Ex. Is much more likely. Infertility from abortion simply is not really an issue.

For someone who does not want to be pregnant, an abortion is the best and most sensible option.

The fact that some women have trouble conceiving is unfortunate, but it has absolutely nothing to do with the decision another woman makes about her own body.

Those people who are obsessed with getting pregnant so that it is the only thing that has any importance to them, should seek counselling, and get a life.

If someone is pregnant and does not want to be, they do not need some poor infertile wretch to try to make them feel bad about it. If you cannot understand why someone would not want to be pregnant, why should they care about your wanting to be? Get over yourself.

Maybe you can think about how much someone who does not want to be pregnant envies someone who is infertile. This isn't about you. So if you think abortions are "cruel" because you can't conceive, try thinking about what it is like being pregnant when that is absolutely the last thing in the world that you want.

If anyone has an interest in posting on this thread, it is an open public forum. If someone wants to come in and criticise the op, they should not be surprised to get criticised straight back. Your moral values and delusions are neither here nor there. If you don't want an abortion, don't have one. If you don't want to have three abortions, don't have one. There are plenty of women out there who, however careful they have been, can find themselves pregnant when they don't want to be.

The op had an abortion at 17, another one ten years later, and five years after that again finds herself with an unwanted pregnancy. So someone decides they can weight in and tell this women she is cruel, just because she is unable to conceive. Jealousy -- not very attractive.

For the record, I do not have a lot of growing up to do. Someone is soooooo interested in my viewpoint that they want to look up my profile -- very sad. Since you are so fascinated, I am 42 years old and doing a phd. Or is the idea of being a student beyond the age of 18 so incredible to someone whose only obsession is being a mommy?

First off, what a ridiculous name I have to say. I have been reading the comments and I totally agree with preciousbabies. Abortion is homicide, even though the body isn't fully developed, it is a life and it has a heart and a soul. God made all of us. It is up to him that decides who lives and dies. No one on this planet has the right to that decision. God didn't make us to destroy each other. The ones that do, severely pay in the end.
Anyone that gets pregnant, it's meant to be. There is a reason for everything. People have to be responsible for their actions. homicide is just an irresponsible way out. If I ever got pregnant and didn't want the baby, I would put the baby up for adoption, but after carrying the baby full term, I know I love the precious innocent life and would never want to give it away.

Ok I am a 20yr old and I am expecting my first child well second if you count my misscarriage at 17. Here is my oppioun on abortion. Ok I strongly feel that it is wrong. I agree there are so many woman out there that would die just to have the chance to be pregnant or even adoupt a baby. My mom was one of them. She had cancer at the age of 20 and had both overays removed which that caused her and my dad not to be able to have kids of there own. For 20 more yrs my mother greved for a child. She would have gave her own left arm just to be abel to get pregnant or adoupt well finally. She meet my grand mother and one thing led to another and I was adoupted. You see my mom was just a child having children I had two twin older sister she had at 16. Then a yr latter she had my brother then she had me. All times she chose to give us up for adoption. You see even though she her self was a child she thought more of us then to kill us. I am truly grateful to her for that.

Then when I became 17 I got raped which followed by a pregnancy. At first I wanted to do the same thing have an abortion but then I realized what did this baby do. So I choise to keep it which I ended up loosing several months later. And I still to this day dont regret not having an abortion.

Yes this is just my oppioun so that is all I am saying. She asked for advice and that was mine dont do it.

That is someone who resurrected a 3 month-old thread, and decided they needed to moralise about someone who found themselves in an unfortunate situation.

I really do sympathise with those who are suffering infertility. But those who are in this situation should also understand that an unwanted pregnancy is as traumatic as not being able to conceive when you do want to.

The personal attacks on me are truly bizarre. If someone wants to obsess because they got called on being ignorant to the op, that is just a bit immature. Actually, their whole reaction is just that little bit ott and scary, isn't it? A little bit paranoid? Are there other voices talking to you as well?

You are obviously very distressed by your husband's sperm problems. Your jealousy that other people conceive and then want to abort is understandable. But you do need to get a grip.

i am so sorry to hear what you have been through and I am glad that it made you a stronger person. You were very brave and I envy you for that...It takes a strong woman to do what you did, even though that baby didn't survive, you still gave it a chance....I agree with you and also mother of 2....Abortion is not the answer when there are so many more options out there....

it is very fortunate that some people are unable to have children. They are ignorant, judgmental, irrational and clearly unfit to pass on their inferior dna. They should realise that if they are unable to conceive, it is god's way of telling them that they are not the material he wants reproducing.

I have had a lot of comments about my username, which is a very strange thing for someone to try to focus on. If anyone is interested, I have explained before that this was selected when I signed up on this website because I had just been diagnosed with the early stages of a chronic disease. I knew that I was predisposed to this but it normally shows up when people are in their 20s or early 30s, so I had thought I had escaped. A simple straight forward question requiring a simple answer. Does abortion one and more than one make it difficult to get pregnant in the future.
There have been a lot of research and lots of statistical data pointing both ways. The uncertainity still remains and with possibilities of side effects of drugs chances do remain of having problems conceiving again later.
Having had an abortion already atleast helps you to know what you will be going through.
God willing if things go well you may not have have any differrence in your fertility.Make sure that the drug or method you adopt to abort . Please do enough research about the same and get first hand opinion about the same. There are many natural herbs taken in decoctions to ensure continous fertility in a lady after miscarriage which can be induced called as abortion or natural .
