Q: Can Allergy Shots Cause a Very Heavy Period?

I got an allergy shot last week. I started my period a couple of days ago and it's very heavy. The last 3 days i've had to change my super absorbent tampon every 3 hours. I've not had this problem for years. Also there are clots too. Could the allergy shot have caused this?
