Q: Lumbar Epidural Injection For Hip And Leg Pain??????

Hello,

has anyone here ever had a lumbar spinal epidural injection for back, hip or leg pain? I am scheduled to have one of these done in 3 days - I am oddly looking forward to it - and was wondering if anyone could give me their experience as to how effective it was?
I have ongoing hip and leg pain from a childhood hip disorder that I have been putting up with for quite some time now, and I am hoping that this injection will bring about vast improvement. I am currently 30 years old and in excellent health. I understand that these injections are normally given in a series of 3 - spread out over several weeks or months apart. Pills haven't helped much and they make me feel drowsy and lacking in energy. I'm really crossing my fingers that this injection will really help.
