Personality Changes

Personality changes are often an indication of chemical dependancy on an addictive substance. Increased tolerance (decreased effectiveness - and needing to take more of a medication) are some other symptoms.

As the dependancy on a substance progresses, the pain threshold drops, causing the person to perceive seemingly normal discomforts and problems as unbearable disasters. This impacts the person's physical, emotional, and spiritual sense of well-being

When a person does not take their medication they can become very irritable or angry. However, there is a distinction between chemical dependance and addiction. For more information check out the Addiction & Recovery Forum...

Yes that is true. On the other hand, addiction is a very powerful thing and it is greatly up to the addict to decide if they are going to stop using or not. Comming from boca raton, fl the hub zone for addicts you know this. Do you have any connection with the recovery that is going on down in boca, specifically awakenings or boca house??? Just curious, because I was down there not to long ago for my problems and issues.
