Hi kellie, i'm leeann from canada. I'm not pregnant (although if you've read the posts you may have come across mine and have found that recently I thought I might be) nor am I ttc, but its still fun to come on here every once in awhile and see whats happening.

Sorry to hear about your first baby and I can only imagine how scared you must be right now, but just keep thinking positive and I wish you the best of luck. Even though I have no experience when it comes to being pg if you ever need to talk or vent or whatever i'm usually around.

Good luck :)

Can You Give Me An Opinion?
Well ok heres the thing,

im 19 I love kids and i've always wanted a baby.
Me and my boyfriend have been going out for a year now but I know hes the one!

My boyfriend is 40 and he has never gotten a girl pregnant so he's never been in this situation.

Well naturally when I found out I was pregnant I was thrilled, but my boyfriend (paul) wanted me to have an abortion.
I refused to have an abortion and told him if he hated it that much then I dont him to have anything to do with it including money!
Well I broke up with him but then 2 days later he asked me to come back and said he loves me and this isnt worth losing me over and he accepts the fact that we're having a baby.

Should I be worried bout him not really wanting it?
And was I wrong for refusing to have an abortion when he clearly didnt want it

if he is 40 and wasn't able to commit when he found out you were pregnnat, then he is only around to have sex with a young girl, nothing else.

I would be a touch suspicious of any 40-year-old having sex with a 19 year-old. I suspect that he is not hanging out with the 40-year-old women because they don't by his lines. They are not doling out sex without comittment, so he found you instead. He was older than you are now at the time when you were born. Don't you find that a bit odd? Your interests and maturity level must have almost nothing in common between the two of you. Normally, people hang out with people more or less their own age because of that. Are you going down to the grade school to hang out with the students?

Perhaps that is a bit cynical, but it is a gut-feeling I am having.

Yeah well its not like he doesnt hang out with people his own age and his last girlfriend was his age and they were going out for 14 years,

and its not like he isn't committed cause thats not the problem at all, i've been living with him since we started going out a year ago and when it comes to sex hell I want it more than him so thats not the problem.

He always says that because he knows I cheated on my ex boyfriend that he's scared im gonna do the same to him and hes always scared im just gonna pack up and leave him which I wouldnt do cause I love him so much and he is like my best friend.

How do I get him to realise that I love him and only him and nothing is gonna change that?

You can't get him to realize that -- if he's worried about it now, it'll always be in the back of his mind.

I, too, am a little concerned about the age difference -- he was a legal adult before you were born!! In any event, I hope it doesn't hinder his fathering abilities, because he will be much more worn out than you much more quickly.......... Is there a reason he's never had any children before?? Did he not want any, or was he simply never in a good enough situation, what??

Well he was with his last girlfriend since he was 25 and he said that they talked about it but it never happened, plus it was a long distance relationship that doesn't help.
I'm the only girl he's ever lived with and I have no doubt about him being a good dad, even though he is 40 he is very fit and goes to the gym a lot.
I think slowly he is starting to realise i'm not gonna cheat on him or leave him so I think everything will be ok.

Even if we do break up in the future I know we will still love each other because we are best friends!

I think regardless that this man is going to be in your life forever because you are going to have his child. I mean I am not going to judge you on his age and yours but I would say that he needs to act like a man about. I would like to give him the benfit of the doubt and say that he probably had that inital reaction because he was scared ( I think all men are really little boys anyways) do not feel bad about refusing to get an abortion. It is your body and your choice. F him if he makes you feel bad about keeping your baby. Give it a chance with him and remember it is never to late to get out of the relationship if it goes south.

Good luck!
