Hi everyone. My girlfriend just started using ortho evra a little over a week ago. We both got a little confused and she wound up putting the first patch on about 48 hours after her period began. Now in the instructions I know it says that it should be applied within 24 hours of getting your period but it also says that if its not applied within that time then alternate contraception must be used for 7 days. Now we waited 9 days before having unprotected sex, 2 days after putting on the second patch. Can someone please tell me that we're gonna be fine.
