I have been on birth control pills for 10 months now. It seems that my period will happen 1 or 2 days right before my active pills are going to end. So, of course, as my period is only 3 to 4 days long, I only end up having a period and using the blank pills for half of the blank pill week. You are not supposed to start again until sunday, which is what I have been doing all along. Now, I am worried because I have noticed the familiar sticky, eggwhite-type discharge that tells when you are very fertile. The bad thing is that before this, I had had sex - not knowing that the discharge would be coming because I thought I was safe being on the pill (my period had actually ended for 2 to 3 days before I had had sex). I am wondering if the pill has failed on me now and I am really scared that I could be pregnant. I have a 10-month-old son and I cannot imagine having another baby right now!!!! I am so worn out as it is. I love him to death, but I wanted to wait at least a few years before having more kids.

Has anyone had this happen to them?
