New Boyfriend Possibly Impotent? Help!

Help!
I just started a relationship where everything is perfect except for the sex. He gets an erection, but it is soft. He even needs a hand (literally) getting started, as he's so soft that he can't penetrate all on his own. While we are having sex, he seems to be enjoying himself, lasts a decent amount of time, and ejaculates, but his penis is so soft that I can barely feel it. I haven't asked him about it because I don't want to hurt his feelings or ruin the good thing that we have going. He doesn't seem to know that he's got a problem! I spoke with a mutual friend who he had slept with years ago (he's 36), and she has the same memories as what i'm experiencing. Does he have a medical condition? Should I tell him to get seen? Does anyone know of a cure for this? Help!
