Straight Out of the Dictionary (Page 1)

To who ever says that abortion is not killing a life, here's your answer.

Life: the property or quality that distinguishes living organisms from dead organisms and inanimate matter, manifested in functions such as metabolism, growth, reproduction, and response to stimuli or adaptation to the environment originating from within the organism.
(sounds a lot like a developing baby to me)

kill: to put to death. To deprive of life: to put an end to; extinguish:

abortion: the termination of a pregnancy after, accompanied by, resulting in, or closely followed by the death of the embryo or fetus
the premature stoppage of a natural or a pathological process.

Wow. The point of her post flew right over your head. That's expected though.

Comparing a fetus to eating meat? Do you eat fetus? Do they provide nutrients?

Washing clothes? Ooooohhhhh you might accidentally get out that grass stain or that poor grapejuice that doesn't want to be washed. Shame on you!! There may be bacteria on you. Shame on you for wanting clean clothes!! Bad bad human!

So a fetus is comparable to an insect? Wow. Must have missed that one in anatomy class. How did that come about? So killing a spider is the same as killing a fetus? What an intellegent response! Maybe the orkin man can start doing abortions too. Since they are so closely related and all. If he knows how to kill a termite..I'm sure he would be just as skilled at killing an embryo or fetus.

Hilarious how you pick pieces of posts and try to make a point. *note the word **try**

Sorry but I don't care what the dictionary says.. It means nothing to me. There's nothing you can tell me that would convince me to carry an unwanted pregnancy just to give up the child at birth.

talking to yourself again???

I guess as long as you get to decide what lives and dies, killing is ok, huh?

pc dear, just cause people have similar names does not mean they are the same person. If someone came on with the name pcisme or something we wouldn't all jump to the conclusion that it's you. I have a feeling if mom2trevor wanted to be 2 people she would have chosen some completely different name-lol

Re: Straight Out of the Dictionary
[quote="mom2ty"]m2ty, certainly, the fetus is made up of live cells. I don't see anybody disputing that, your strawman assertion none withstanding.

But, of course, per your very broad and unspecific "definition" of life, just about anything organic is "life." when you don't provide any other distinguishing feature on your diagnosis, then indeed a bacteria *does* become "life" as well, not differentiated from the embryo or from you. When you want to play semantic sophistry games, don't expect anything else back. If all you have to offer is word games, that's all you will be engaged in.

So the real question is whether you want to engage in honest issue debate or just randomly spew unsubstantiated assertions?

Wow pc you really are a liar. I have never accused fish and fb of being the same person.

They are a man and a woman who are married to each other....That does not make them the same person..

Please find where I have accused or said that they were the same person! Where do you get these lies from?

Bumping a post.

I also requested that pc prove something that was stated in this post about me and it never was. This has happend numerous times and pc has still yet to prove anything.

It tries to wait until people forget about a post.

Pc...We all know that you lie.
