I had an abortion when I was 16 and now I want to get pregnant and I can't and I have always wondered if it was because of that. Anyone know anything about this??????

It is very rare that abortions will mess up fertility, especially in the long term.

:evil: look I dont have anything against u, but I do against abortion. Why would u have an abortion and now try to get pregnant again, I mean u would be pregnant now if u wouldent kill ur baby but excuse me thats what u did. Iam nobody to judge u but this is a public health forum and I can say my opinion. Oh an answering to ur question it is to soon to try again u should wait at least 6 months.

I understand that you have your opinion everyone does. But at least you're right you are not the one who judges me. I don't need to hear anything from you cause I regret it enough already but I have moved past it and I have been forgiven. When I got saved and gave my life to god he forgave all of my sins so it's not something for me to hate myself over. I was young and stupid, but I can't go back and change it now. And if I want to get pregnant that's my concern i'm married and 24 now not 16. It's alot better than some of these 16 and 17 yr olds on here trying to get pregnant, you live and you learn. Sometimes it takes a big mistake to knock sense into you.

I agree with you mrswilson. I mean I have beat myself up enough over having an abortion and at the time I thought it was ok but now I see that it was a big mistake but god has forgiven me so I forgive myslef and I will move past that. I do want to become pregnant and that is what I strongly want. I feel that it is the right time. I have checked on other information and they say that it is not going to affect me trying to become pregnant unless the doc said something went wrong.

I can't fathem any possible situation where a woman would have an abortion for whatever reason and only three months later try to get pregnant?????? How old are you. You sound very young? You may want to rethink this whole baby thing and the reason for wanting it? Three months is such a short time for things to be different in your life.

You girls want to get pregnant now? Don't you wish you didn't get that abortion? It's weird because when you were pg you didn't want it so you aborted it, and now you girls are saying : "i want a baby"! If you girls do get pg again...Don't abort it, instead really think first!
