Q: Doctors Keep Putting Me Off Acting As If the Pain Is In My

Hi!

I am at a complete loss, I have been in extreme pain for a year. I have headaches that come and go, I have blurred vision, muscle jerks, studdering, can't tell time on a normal clock, I can't rember how to read many different words, I have trouble writing things, I can't walk on my own and am in a wheel chair most of the time, I get nauseated, and so many other things. I have had a mri, vep, have went to specialist after specialist and two doctors have said they truly believe it is ms but the ms specialist is saying she doesn't have enough evidence to prove that and so she won't say that it is ms. The mri does have spots but because I have had migraines it may be caused by that. I have almost every symptom of ms but no one will help me and at least figure out what is wrong with me and so I am on a ton of meds and they aren't fixing it just disguising the problems.

What should I do, I am scared to death!!!!!!

Extremely eHealthy
I totally understand where you are coming from, after a fall in 2003 my health has been down the tubes, testing and more testing, meds, meds and more meds. I just decided to back down from some of my meds and try to do the best I can, from one day to the next and hope tomorrow will be better. My Dr. Keeps thinking I have ms also, whatever it is I have to keep going the best I can. No, you are not alone. I have a friend of mine that has ms and it tookt hem 13 mri's to find it. I know that I do have rsd/crps and other problems such as ddd and djd and fibromyalgia. Their is a test that might help that is called a emg, have you had this done? I am no Dr., but all I can do is speak from experience. I just call it old age!
Keep in touch!
I hope they have found something by now!
I just realized this post was started in may of "05"

Thanks
I recognized that it was dated quite a long time ago.

Well, maybe she reads them. I have never heard of an emg before but I can add it to the list of tests that i'm requesting from my doc's. It is funny that i'm telling them what kind of test I want.

I have learned recently just to do the best I can. An er doctor by the name of Dr. Wisdom told me. How funny. One thing that I do, also, is to pray and meditate and speak to my body to line up with god's word. God's word talks about healing and many other things. It has to obey. Now, i'm not god and he is still soverign, but atleast, i'll give it all I have in faith. I know folk who were given a report that was horrible, and they prayed and believe for it and waited for god, and it happened, even when there was no hope. My mother for one was told that she had terminal cancer, and now she is well. My friend's mother had a brain tumor, no lie, and she had it removed and the next day was released from the hospital to go home. My friend felt happy yet so sad for the individuals in the waiting room who were not told that it was time to take mom home.

I do not know why things happen or not, but I choose to believe.

I will take your info to heart. Sorry to write so much, just happy.

Ms
Please try to read the book "missing diagnosis" by c orion truss. It has helped me when the doctor's made me feel like it was all in my head. Maybe your library has it? I'd send mine to you if I could. It is only the beginning.. It all leads to another book and another and then I found the body ecology book that puts them altogether, but doesn't provide all the explanations that the individual books provide. Sometimes its easier to do something "odd", "new", or "strange", if you know why! Hth aplacefortess at yahoo dot com
