Hey,
okay, so i've been having some pain in my testicles, and it's been going on off and on for quite a while. The first time this happened was like 2 years ago, and I went to the Dr. Well, I had a cold and he said sometimes that happens with congestion. Okay...So it kept happening every now and then, maybe once or twice a week, but not severe, not persistant. Last time I was at the doctor for a checkup, he again examined me and said everything was fine. Well, by that time I noticed that when I knew I had slept on my side, they would hurt...And it is both of them. I'm a big guy, and my legs are rather large, so recently, i've been thinking that maybe my pain is due to the fact that my testicles don't have much room between my legs, so maybe the pressure is causing them to hurt. Now it's pretty frequent, a couple days a week. Still, whenever I sleep on my side, they hurt, but recently it's also when I don't have a lot of room to spread my legs. I've felt around, and as far as I can tell they feel normal, though I can feel a bump on my left one, kinda underneath, but I know that there's cords that connect there. Also, my left one is noticably larger than my right, and neither hurt to touch. I'm a hypocondriac, so i'm really worried and scared that it's cancer.

So, should I get this checked out soon?

It is very possible that you are suffering from epididimitus or a varicocele. You need to go to the doctor and have him/her take a look and see if it is something like that.

I have chronic epididmitus and in 1991 I had a varicocele ligated. The varicocele is the same a varicose viens in the legs but it is in the scrotum and puts a ton of pressure on the teste that it is involved with.

I also have a varicocele and I have been to the doctor and they didnt really do anything about it.......That was like 2.5 years ago. If I go back to the doctor is there anything that can be done?

Thanks in advance

i had similar pain for years and many doctors gave the same verdict: varicocele

it was not till i met this specialist then he accurately diagnosed my condition as cysts and the pain left me for good after the op to take them out.

advice: trust your instinct and get second opinions always!
