Heya! My names chazwick (a nickname thats stuck). I'm 14, not pregnent and in no rush, whats so ever (i haven't even had sex yet).
Anyway...
Does labour hurt?
Like I said, i'm not preggy, but this worries me, because growing up with lots of brothers and sisters, and having babies around, all the time (i have loads of experiance! Lol) has made me convinced I want a big family of my own some day.
But this totally worries me, I reconsider my thoughts of family, because I hate the thought of lots of pain.
I'd love your own stories of the "pain". Thank you x

ps- I understand that the pain is totally worth it, cause you get a little baby..

Well labour hmm, mine went like this...

4am.. Waters broke. Rush to the hospital. Midwifes do there checks and stuff. "yes, your wateres have broken, but you are not yet in labour".

So im like yeh ok, can I go home? I hadent got any of my labour stuff ready, coz I was only 36 weeks gone, still leaving it a bit late, but babies are expensive.
So the midwifes wernt happy, but I went home, and they told me to be back at 7pm.

So, im walking around with a giant sanitary towel on, feeling like im wetting my self constintly, and 5pm comes along. By then im sooooooo knackered you wouldnt beleive it.

So these pains start, right in my lower back, and then stretching out, it wasnt painful, but totally annoying, because I couldnt sit still, and all I wanted to do was go to sleep.

So 7pm comes round and im on my way back to the hospital, with my niggly little pains in my back.

Get to the hospital, the wire me up to the moniters. Midwife turns around and says " ok, well your not in labour, your contractions are coming like 5 mins then 15 mins then 7 mins etc apart". So im like ok, I guess i'll get into my nighty and wait this out. This is at about 11pm.

12pm the miwifes practicaly threw my boyfriend out the hospital, because it wasnt visiting hours, and they kept saying I wasnt in labour, and told him to come back the next day.

Like litrally 5 mins after my boyfriend went, I felt like I needed the loo real bad, so theres me hopping up and down waddling to the toilets, back and forth like 6 times.

The pain was getting intense, I remeber thinking to myself "god I dont think I can handle these cramps, what am I going to do when I go into labour?"
so, im sat on the loo, and obviously pushing, for the purpose I thought I was there for. And suddently I started bleeding, I was thinking uh, I really dont think this is right? Then I had a huuuuuuuuuuuuge contraction. Theres me screaming in the loo. I rang the buzzer and 2 midwives run in. There like what u doing in here, u spossed to be asleep. So I tell them im bleeding.
I then get another huuuuuuge contraction, the midwife checks me, and says well, I can feel the head.(i was still sitting on the loo)
so, the other midwife says, "we best get you to labour and delivery, can you walk?" im like what? U expect me to walk with a head sticking outta me? U gotta be kidding me?

So they get me a bed, rush me up to labour and delivery, by then the labour was out of my control. Every contraction pushed the baby, the midwife turns around and says, well the heads out, now dont push.
Ha, I didnt, the contraction pushed my beautiful baby girl right out into this world.

Born at 1.24am. 02/02/05 weighing 5lbs 12oz

i didnt find it very painful at all, I didnt use any pain relief, well I did, for the stitch they had to do, gas and air for stitches nothing for labour.

Giving birth was the most relieving thing in the whole world, I felt so good, the happiest I have been in my whole life.

Im glad I didnt have a bad experiance with it, and im really looking forward to my next birth in about 4.5 months time.

I have given birth twice and my next baby is due in a few days........ To say labor hurts is an understatement........ It is incredably unbearable........ You feel as though you want to rip your lower half away from the rest of your body.......... But surprisingly at the same time it is the most awsome experiance you will ever have as a woman......... Impowering....... It is something that makes you think after " I am strong, I am capable, I can do any thing" simply because when you think you have given all you have got and you just cant take it any more some how you find more strength and you bring a tiny little person into the world......

Labor comes with pain, you're not going to get a pain free labor/birth.

Yeah that's what i'm saying. You'll get pain either way, maybe not right then but afterwards you'll be sore all over and etc.
