Q: When to Start?

When my dr switched my b/c last time ( I hadn't been for about a month due to pg and m/c) he just gave me the pills and told me to take two that day and start from there and he said it was not necessary to use a back-up method that I did not need it because I took two pills the first day. I thought you were either supposed to start them on the first day of your period or on the sunday after...And you were supposed to use a backup method for the first week..

Do I need to find a new doctor or does he know what he is talking about?

I would find a new doctor, when I started mine I was told to take one pill a day until the pack ran out and that there was about 10 days where I had to have protected sex... This worries me that your doctor may now know what he is talking about.

Thanks sarah.

We have been using a backup method because we usually always do...But I just wonder if he is telling other people this too? I thought there was something fishy about him telling me that...

Anyway thanks
