Q: Diabetes Question

I had a blood test done 3 weeks ago and the results came back saying that one of my blood levels was elevated and to come back in 1 month for another test. I was also told that after the birth of my child last year, I am at increased risk of developing diabetes, since I had gestational diabetes in the pregnancy. Since the blood test, I have been unusually tired and cranky, been excessively hungry and thirsty, urinating frequently, and just generally feeling very weak. Are these signs I could have diabetes? :(

Hello,

three symptoms that people get with diabetes is called polyuria, polyphagia, and polydipsia. This means excessive urination, thirst, and hunger. It is true that you are at an increased risk for developing diabetes but just remember that it can be controlled by following a nutrition plan and checking your glucose level several times a day. Not to worry :)
