Q: Feeling Sick & Stomach Problems.. Could It Be My Gallbla

For years I feel sick to my stomach and get pains in my stomach. I go between constipation to diarrhea. I get headaches, nauseous, dizzy, just plain ol I don’t feel well. The docs tried to link it to sodas, junk food, depression… it’s none of that. I finally went to a gastro dr who did a abdominal scan, sigmoidoscopy(sp) and barium enema and upper gi. All was normal. They have me taking zelnorm for ibs.. I still have the same problems. Someone mentioned to me gallbladder but the doc didn’t seem to think so. From what i’ve seen, they have to do another test to say whether or not it’s not working.
I also have hypothyroidism (3 ½ years now since son was born). But that’s supposedly in the normal range. I don’t know if I should go back to the gastro dr and have him look further at the gallbladder or go to an endo dr for thyroid. Anyone else have same problems? It’s been going on too long and just getting worse.

Nope
I had my thyroid checked just a week ago and he said it was in the normal range... However, I still get sick to my stomach, have constipation (went a whole week at christmas time.. Can you imagine). Still get chills and am very achey. He is having me take something called ugos choice which is some oils that you get at whole foods or something. Keep it in fridge. 1 tsp twice a day. However, didn't help me much that one week but i've kept it up. We shall see. I've recently been having side/back pains but, I dont know!

I also have hypothyroidism and same symptoms as you.
I just got health insurance backagain and I am returning to the doctor soon. I will let you know what they tell me. Unfortunatly I have been off of my thyroid medicine for a while so my problems might be linked with that as well but I am always either constipated or diareah... its miserable... today I started dry heaving after drinking som water when I woke up. I am thinking more about a gastro problem than anything though, I think the worse thing is I havent had any children and I am only 23 and these problems have been keeping me from living my life and just feeling good in general. If and when I find any info you will be the first to know because I know your pain all too well. Feel free to write me.

I had the same problem I went to the hospital and they said it was from me eating to many spicy foods, but I knew I hadn't because I had just had a baby it kept getting worse I had the worse back pain I started to throw up greenish color and the pain in my side was enough to die from it got so bad where I was rolling on the floor crying and my husband would have to lye beside me. It's gallstones the only reason I was able to find out it's from a doctor I went to and she wasn't my doctor, but soon as she heard my symptoms she said does this hurt I said yes she said you have gallstones she said I just got rid of mines. So get another opinion its actually gallstones
