Hi, sorry, I haven't been feeling well lately. Sad I had a doctors appointment yesterday with my gp to get my flu shot, plus I was having alot of pain on my left side front and back. Thought it might be a kidney infection. Sad
i had my appointment with my rheu today, and both doctors believe it's my fibro acting up. I still had to *pee in the cup* Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes to rule out the infection. It's better today, thank god!! Smile
i could barely move on sunday! Sad they both said my muscles are very tight and they shouldn't be.
My gp gave me a prescription for ultracet, but I wanted to check with my rheu before I filled it. It's a good thing I did. He said it would have put me in the hospital for sure!! Shocked since I have epilepsy and take dilantin ,plus I take zoloft ,it would have caused me to have major sezures, and even could have killed me. Sad my gp probably did not know this or she would never have prescribed it for me.
My rheu is also concerned that my lab work showed neg. For lupus. But in the past has shown positive. All my symtoms then and now point to lupus so he wants further testing done. It will have to wait till "o4 . Money is very tight right now. He also wants me to start seeing a nuroligist again soon.
My sensitivity to floresant lighting has gotten worse. I had a hard time sitting in the doctors exam rooms because of the lights were so bright! I felt like I was sitting in the full hot sun. My arms felt like they were starting to burn. I felt light headed and shaky! My rhue said he had not heard of lupus causing that before. He wasn't being sarcastic, just concerned. Thats another reason he wants to send me to see another doctor who can get to the core of my problems.
He is trying me on vioxx to see if that helps with my fibomyalga. That's all my news for now.....I hope all of you are doing ok!........ Sharon Smile

I am certainly glad to hear from everyone!

Sharon! Please feel better soon! Hugs! Is your epilepsy caused by the lupus? If so, I would like to talk offline! Thanks!

Jenn: recover well, your body has been through so much lately. Hugs!

Sam43: glad you passed! How was your last day at the job? I know you haven't forgotten; we've all been doing tons lately. I am in a full flare and sick! Probably about 24 hours from a hospital visit, if things continue as is...

Hugs everyone!

Epilepsy
Lady brannon, I was born with it unfortunatly. It runs strong on my dads side. When they tested me for lupus they ask if it ran in my family, so they ruled it out to be solely caused by the lupus. But, they said it could make it worse. Since lupus can bring on sezures. I had two really bad grandmal sezures during the time I was serching for a diagnosis. Looks like now, i'll have to go through the whole process again, since my last few labs have been negative. There is no doubt in my mind that I have lupus. I have far too many symtoms. I just think the lab I have been going to has not treated my blood work corectly. I have good cause to think this. I'll be going to the mayo clinic to get further testing done in jan. If you remember hadley, I talk to her daily off line. She was a lab tech, and explained what could have happened to my blood work if it was miss handled by the lab, as I have good reason to believe. It's sad when we have to go get our blood drawn so often and we put our trust in the lab to do their job correctly. Only later to find out they have screwed up! I now know, thanks to hadley, what questions to ask when going to a lab.

Hi sharon! I was wondering...It seems my newest lupus fits are seizures due to the lupus. *sigh*

yesterday, I was put back on 80 mg of prednisone! I missed a week trip to the hospital by a mere two hours...I know my body too well. Laughing it really sucks too. I had lost 12 pounds after stopping the steroids (for the first time in 2 years). Now I have the munchies again...I must not give in!

About lab results, I had a *bad* experience. My original rheumy sent all my labs out. They all came back fine with my urinalysis tests. However, when I went to any other doctor and they tested, I would have protein, rbcs or both. Eventually, it came out that the labs she was sending me to were missing something very important. She was most upset. I had been dropping protein for over a year because of this *mistake*.

I feel for you, dear! Feel better! Hugs,
ladybrannon

Hi to all... Not too much going on here, except trying to get ready to move. Also have had to do testing for school, plus extra hours at work because a lady quit unexpectedly. Just alot of life going on, trying to get sleep when I can, the blisters on my feet have started back again, causing some frustration. Am having some pretty good headaches now, don't know what is causing them. I haven't managed to get to see the rhum yet, my doc says it will take about 8 weeks to get in. Sad so i'm just waiting. Am going to see about going to a dermatoligist about my feet, but will have to see if my finances are up for it. Question
other than that, everything is going well. Thanks for asking... And caring.

Lots of hugs,
kris
