During the last couple social events i've attended I got these migraine headaches. I think it's from tension, but I don't feel tense at the party. I then thought maybe it was from drinking alcohol or dehydration, so I drank only water and still got a bad headache. Does this happen to anyone else and is there anything I can do pre-party to make it not happen? Could this be a sign of anxiety? I have a party to go to this weekend and I don't want to go to bed with this blinding headache. Any suggestions would be great.

Sounds more like social anxiety disorder than just a regular anxiety disorder...Do you feel nervous and jittery around people too?
Medication may work for axniety disorders or sometimes just counseling is necessary. Your Dr. Can make an efficient diagnosis. Please get help, so you can enjoy going to parties again w/o this problem!! Good luck to you. :d take care

Thanks for the suggestions. I do get nervous before social events and sometimes there, but I always assumed this was pretty normal. Isn't it? I'm very outgoing and I love being around people, but the hours of talking and laughing cause these headaches later. I'd like to hear from anyone that has had this and has resolved it.
