Q: Missed More Than 3 Birth Control Pills?

I recently started taking birth control pills. I missed more than 3 pills, and had a period. I thought this was normal so I took 2 birth control pills that day. Will taking those pills after missing 3 hurt me? And is it normal to have a period if pills are missed?

Techinally after missing 3 or more bc pills you sould throw the pack away and start a new one, well thats what mine tells me, I think certain brands vary, but most should come with instructions and tell you what to do if you miss some. And having your period after missing pills basically just means your lucky you didnt get pregnant while missing your pills so you started your period like you normally would. In future when you notice you missed say 1 pill you should just take it as soon as possible even if it means taking 2 pills in the same day, and after missing more then one pill you should use another form of birth control for 10 days, like a condom ect. If your sexually active within that time. Hope some of this helped you :)
