Q: Jaw Pain

The other day I was smacked in the head (by accident) with a 2x4. I was a little dizzy and had a headache but had no other problems. Then last night, it felt like there was pressure building up in my right ear. I opened my mouth and kind of moved my jaw to try to pop my ear and I heard a loud pop. Since this has happened my right jaw is absolutely killing me. I can't bite down on anything and when i'm just sitting around it throbs sverely. It feels as if that side of my face is swollen, but when I look in the mirror I don't see any swelling. I currently don't have insurance but I am thinking of going to the er because my jaw is killing me. Since there isn't any swelling my family thinks I am over reacting. But the pain is excruciating. I've never had anything like this happen before so I am clueless as to what could be going on. If there is anyone who could give me some suggestions on what to do, or if this could be serious, please let me know as soon as possible.
Thanks, tina age 37
