Q: Wisdom Tooth Removal -food Stuck In Socket

I just got my wisdom teeth removed three days ago and i'm worried about food getting stuck in the socket. I'm always resisting the urge to gently lift it out with gauze but since I recently got it done i'm afraid of rinsing also, I dont want the blood clod to dislodge and get dry socket. I rinse gently with warm salt water but it never completely gets the food out. Should I try rinsing a little more aggressively? Am I worrying about this too much?
Thanks so much.
