My name is raya and i'm 24 years old. I live in reno nevada and work full time. I was diagnosed with crohn's disease on may 2nd and also learned that my insides are kind of backwards - my appendix and bowel are on my left side instead of my right. I have about 20 stones in my gall bladder and i'm having my gall bladder and my appendix out on may 25th. I'm still learning about my disease and i'm just a little scared since all of this is happening so quickly. I had a gall stone attack on monday and was in the er for 9 hours. Now i'm on vicadin on top of all the other medications for my crohns and just waiting for surgery. We are hoping to do the normal laser surgery but depending upon how far up behind the intestine my appendix is we might have to do the old fashion huge slit surgery for both my appendix and gall bladder. Any suggestions on preparing for surgery??
