I'm an 18 year old male and over the last
week I have been experiencing a dull ache
in my left testicle. It doesn't hurt a
lot and over the last few days it has died
off just a little. However, I have
started to have stomach aches and my lower
abdomen is starting to ache now and
again.
I have a doctors appointment in the
morning, but I would just like to know of
anyones views on this type of thing and
whether anyone has had anything similar
happen to them in the past and what the
outcome was.
Hope to get some useful replies! I am
worried about it, as you would expect!

right testical. Among being annoying its
getting me down. Any other ideas on this?

I had and continue to have the same
problem.
My doctor sent me for an ultrasound,
twice, but nothing was detected at all.
I was put on antibiotics called cipro for
about 1 month.
It still has small discomfort.
Who knows!

Well my problem seems to be easing off
now. It is entirly possible its a weaker
form of the mumps or some other virus.
But if it doesn't clear up soon i'll be
visiting doctor.

It is very possible that you have
epididumitus (sp) which is an infection of
the epididimus and it hurts like you
explained. It is a dull ache that really
doesnt stop for days.
You also could be experiencing a
varicocele (sp) which is the same thing as
a varicose vein in the leg but in your
scrotum instead. The vein swells up and
grows too long and causes constant
pressure to build and squeeze the
testicle. In 1991 I had a varicocele
ligation while in the navy and then as a
post effect I got chronic epididimitus
which flares up several times a year.
The infection can be easily treated with
tequin or e-mycin or penicilin. If that
fixes the pain then you should be good to
go. If not they may order an ultrasound
to see if you have a varicocele or some
other problem on the testicle.
You really need to be seen by a uroligist
asap and get this taken care of. You can
never be to safe when it comes to the
jewels!

One thing I hav "realised", I have been on
exercise bike quite a lot recently and hav
upped the amount of time I spend on it.
Could this prehaps be the cause of
problem?
But as advised I am going to doctor

I saw the doc yesterday. He had a look
around, and as far as he is concerned
there isn't anything to worry about. So
now im on a course of antibiotics and im
going to hav an ultrasound in the near
future to be sure. (if you know what the
nhs is like then it may be not so near)
