I take both vitamin b6 and a calcium supplement each day, but i'm not sure how well they work.
First, I buy them at target for about 3 dollars a bottle, and the bottles usually have 100 pills each. Will vitamins that cheap actually do anything for me, or am I wasting money?
And second, i'm very forgetful, which is why I need to take the calcium supplement in the first place (i'm on the shot, as I could never remember my pill, and the shot, while it doesn't reduce the amount of calcium in your bones, instead blocks any new calcium you will add, but by taking a supplement, these effects can be stopped) so I often will take the pills very consistently, and then will forget to take them sometimes for weeks. It is useless to keep taking them because of this sporadic behavior, or will they still be of some use?
I also had a question about the b6. A pregnant friend of mine was taking pre-natal viatmins, and said her hair is nicer than ever since she started. Hearing this, I asked my pharmacist friend if this was true or if so-and-so was imagining it, and she said the b6, or folic acid, in the vitamin was the reason behind it, so I went out and bought some. I'm wondering though, if it just makes your hair thicker, or if it also increases growth.
I suppose i'm asking out of vanity, but i've had a terrifying haircut which ended up about 6 inches shorter than I had requested, and am now feeling down about it. Don't lie to make me feel better though, that's just horrid.
