Q: Genital Wart Removal, Doctor And Insurance

Hello, I am a sexually active 19 year old male and currently live at home with my parents. Recently I have noticed 2 small bumps on the head of my penis. They are both right next to each other on the right side, and resemble a pimple without and white head or anything of the sort. I really believe that they are genital warts or molluscum. I need to get them checked out, but where should I get this done at? I don't really want to go to the family doctor or use my parents insurance, because I am really embarrassed and don't want my family to find out about this. Is there some clinic I can go to and get this taken care of without using insurance. I have also seen cream sold all over the internet specializing in removing genital warts. Should I trust these creams in not hurting me? Can someone please help me with some advice, or if anyone has found themselves in a similar situation. I know it sounds childish, but I don't want the parents to find out about this at all, it's way too embarrassing and will only lead to big family problems. Thanks

dd

Don't Try to Figure It Out On Your Own!
It's normal and you have nothing to worry about. However, you need to see a doctor. It's not embarrassing to use your parents insurance if you have coverage. If not, make an appointment to check it out. Don't start applying lotions or gasoline to try to remove it. Have a professional take a look.

If you are 19 and still living at home, maybe the parents have a policy which will cover it. If not, call the doctors office and ask for a reduced fee. Pay it! Last case scenario, go to the er, but you'll eventually have to pay.
