I took the map about a week ago. It was about 24-30 hrs after I had sex (and it was my first time!) we did use a condom, but for a while before that we didnt. I got paranoid because of pre-cum etc and that I cd get pregnant so I decided to take the map (though he definately came when he had the condom on).

Anyway I thought I got my period 2 days ago,it was like a normal period,(also at the time my period should have come - though to make things even more confusing my periods have been a bit irregular lately because of a drug im taking for my skin -aldactone) but then my period seems to have finished already today. 2 days is very short! Is this normal after taking the map???? Cd I still be pregnant??? :?

Sorry to hear that you are worried about being pregnant. I do not think that you have anything to worry about. Since it was your first time, your body is probably just out of whack. I know that mine was after I had sex for the first time. Don't worry! Good luck!

If you are going to be having sex regularly, you should consider going on the pill anyway. You are in the uk, so it is completely free anyway. You don't even need to pay the prescription charge. This will be much easier on your body and more reliable than going and getting the morning-after pill each time.

Morning After Pill
I took plan b ...Which is the morning after pill...It was also my first time..We didn't use a condem and he didnt come in me but he was scared that the pre-cum could possibly inpregnate me so I took it too make sure. Since I was your first time it you usually bleed for a couple days..I bled for up to 2 weeks and then didnt have my period for 3 months but then again since the first time I got my period it was never regular..Now im trying to concieve but for some reason can't. I always have unprotected sex and never used a condem since I started having sex with all my partners(knowing who they are and how clean they are). I'm scared and am going to get checked out....Just incase anyone is out there that is going through the same and wants to share experiences...Please i.M. Me on aim: spanishcutie2105 Thanx.

Argh...I know this doesn't have much to do with the discussion at hand, but I took the morning after pill once...It was horrid, the first dose I took was fine, I had just eaten at my boyfriends house, but the next dose 12 hours later was me running out the door without eating...I didn't get very far on the bus (must have been about 10-15 mins after taking the pill) and I had to pull the bell and get out...I projectile vomited all over a feild trying to make it to the garbage bin. Not cool. I made my way home weak and weary and felt fine after some food and rest. But my experiance with the morning after pill was aweful. I hope all yours was better.

Anyways as for the question actually on hand, I doubt that you are pregnant. The morning after pill is not 100% affective, but it does work pretty well. I wouldn't stress about it, but in a week or two if you start to feel weird or are still concerned I would grab a home preg. Test and check it out.

Best of luck to you.

And remember to take food with the morning after pill!!

Kimmie
