My son has swollen lymph nodes throughout his body: back of head, neck down to his collar bone, arm pits, groin. I have taken him to the doctor and they keep blowing me off. I told them that he had been on protopic & elidel since he was 6 months they finally ran a cbc. The first one showed his white blood count to be 26, then next one showed 13, then the next was normal. He keeps getting sick, though. One thing after another. He was born with eczema. Lately he's had an upper respiratory infection, pink eye, stomach flu, a rash all over his body, and lots of allergy symptoms like running itchy nose, sneezing, etc.

I keep taking him back to the doctors and finally last week they ordered a quantitative immunoglobin (sp?) and are waiting for the results. I'm scared out of my mind. When I look these symptoms up they point to lymphoma. The doctors say that's not what it is, but what else could it be? I can't stop thinking and worrying about it.

My 3 Year Ol Son
Well, the only thing that would help you right now is to call riley hospital in indianapolis, in or even st. Judes in tenn. Riley has a "phone nurse" that will accept a faxed copy of the blood results you receive from the lab. You can get a copy of these for your personal records. I did this last week for my son. They gave me the fax number and had me called back within 10 minutes. They have great doctors and gave me really great advice on what to do and explained in detail the results.
