Hello-

i began taking "orthro tri cyclen lo" at the beginning of this month. I am getting married in a year and my gynecologist told me to meet with her in november so that we could shift my cycle in case my period would fall during my wedding and honeymoon week. Sure enough, it does. I know that since we are meeting in november, we will have plenty of time to guarantee that my period will not fall during the most important week of my life. However, I also know that whenever you skip your period, breakthrough bleeding often occurs while your body adjusts. I will need to skip my period a total of two times before may of 2006 in order to avoid having my period on my honeymoon. If my gynecolgists tells me to skip two periods starting in november after my appointment with her, I am aware that I may experience breakthrough bleeding over the next few months while my body adjusts to the new cycle. My question is this...Will my breakthrough bleeding end in time for my may wedding and honeymoon? This will be my fiance and i's first time having sex and I do not want breakthrough bleeding to put a damper on the most important week of our lives. I would appreciate any help you guys could give me. Thanks!

Ashley
