Q: How Long?

How long till one starts feeling better? I have been seeing a shrink for 5 months, on lexapro for 5 months. But I am still really depressed.

In the past year, I separated from my wife, we are divorcing, my grandmother died, my job has been extra stressfull, and I had open heart surgery.

Nothing is as fun as it used to be, and I am extremely lonely in in crowds. Any better suggestions?

No one in your boots would react any differently with all the stress. Is your medication doing any good? Maybe you need to talk to your doctor about changing meds. I really hope that you have family and friends that you can talk to. I don't know if you pray, but I will be praying for you.

You could have anxiety. Sometimes with anxiety you see flashes or stars and get confused and in your own confusion time might pass and that also happens to be what you can experience with seziures. Could be either one, sounds like a lot is going on for you so anxiety sounds reasonable. Good luck.
